Magnolia Ink has arrived!!!!

Hi there,

Hope everyone is keeping well and have enjoyed the summer holidays, I know plenty of you are getting organised for the kiddo's going back to school soon and once they are back hopefuly we can all get back into the crafting as i'm sure some of you are having withdrawls at this stage. lol

We finally got hold of the latest Issue of Magnolia Ink on Monday and all the pre-orders were shipped so you should have your copy by now if you placed a pre-order!!!

I sat down last night with a cuppa and went through mine and as per usual it was brill. I just love looking at all the stunning products and the amazing new stamps they are releasing!!

We have had loads of bits n pieces come in over the past week or so and have just placed a huge order with Kanban for everyones favourite decoupage!!!!

All the designs will be up on the site over the next few days in the coming soon section.

Misserable weather here today and our poor Sandie is taking part in the Flora Womens Mini Marathon so she will be like a wet rag again she is finished but we wish her luck today.

Well I know a few of you are looking to hear about the DT call we held when Mandy stepped down. With Christmas and Crafts 4 U sadly I never got around to sorting out the new DT member. But just so you know I will be holding another call next month for DT members as the six months will finish the current team. So if you have applied before you dont need to re-apply as i will be taking all those applicants on board also.

Week 17 - Can you feel it?!

Good morning and welcome to week 17 of our challenges.

Not long now until Crafts 4 U kicks off! We are all really excited about it and are looking forward to meeting up with everyone again. Don't forget classes can be booked through the Crafty Angels store and there will be a free goodie bag for anyone who books 5 or more classes, while stocks last!!!

Now on to our challenge which is themed 'Can you feel it'.....

This week I would like to see some texture on your creations. You can use embossing, folding, fabric and many other things to give a 'feel' to whatever you make.

Week 16-Recycle

We hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you a very Happy New Year.

Right onto this weeks challenge.
I want you to Recycle something. For example you could use newspaper on your project or take an embellishment from something else or maybe you will come up with something entirely different. I can't wait to see.

This card uses a card blank that was bought from Paperchase in the sale...
Here is the card base again, this time showing how you can re-use but more simply. (I used my Nesties to punch the sentiment out of the front of the card, covered the inside with pretty pearlescent paper and then put the punch out part on the inside.) This was would cover any words written inside if it was a card that was sent to you.Finally this one is made with DCWV Green Stack which is made from 70% recycled papers......

Sad News & A DT Call Out

Hi Everyone,

Sadly we have had the news that our DT member Mandy has had to step down from the team due to personal reasons beyond her control. Her work has been an inspiration over the past few months and everyone at Crafty Angels and the other DT members would like to wish her well.

We will now open a DT call for one new member to come and join us at the Crafty Angels weekly blog. This will run from now until Saturday the 28th of November. The new DT member will be announced there after.

Crafts 4 U Two Day Event

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know about Irelands Newest Craft Event taking place on the 5th -6th of February 2010 @ The Abbeyliex Manor Hotel, Co Laios.

This two day event will consist of 33 amazing classes (Cardmaking, Scrapbooking, Alered Art and more) Demos, Make & Takes, Challenges and a Raffle.

We will have some of Ireland's Top Tutors teaching at this event.

You can book individual classes or class packages but there will be great deals to be had.
We are really excited about getting the class lists up and getting the booking on the road. Remember classes will be available from 9am Monday 23rd of November!! So girlies we all know what santa will be bringing this year!!! A weekend pass to CRAFTS4U Event in Laios!!!

Our Charity Raffle will be in Aid of the NBCRI (National Breast Cancer Research Ireland)

Design Team Call

EDIT TO SAY: I have had a few people asking how good you have to be to apply, but the reality is that there is no restrictions on how long you are crafting you just need to meet the below requirments. (which shouldnt be that hard) and everyone who applies will be treated equally.

Well girls, with the shop going so well for us we have decided to get ourselves a Design Team!!!! So we are looking for 4 talented ladies to join the Crafty Angels design team.
What you have to do is make a card & an altered item using your best ideas and techniques and post a link to your work to this post. YOU must have a blog to join and you must be blogging no less than six months.

A few people have asked about the requirements -

Weekly Challenges on the blog which the DT will have to post work for!

Each week a different member will post a challenge!!!

A new kit each month!!!

Design Team Call ends midnight on 30th of August.

Design Team will be announced on the 31st of September.

Finally!!!!!!!!!

OMG they have finally come in. We received The Greeting Farm stamps yesterday thank god!!!! Two weeks they were caught up in the postal service coming from the states, but anyway they have arrived safely and all Anya, Ian, Edaward, Hope & Grace are all happy to be in Ireland lol

Crafty Angels have just confirmed their attendence at the GBCE, Athlone on the 25th - 27th of September. We are so looking forward to doing our very first show. We are going through all our suppliers and have just taken on two new ones so we can stock up with loads of new goodies for you to drool over!!!! I will be doing two classes and loads of demos. We were at South East Crafters monthly class on Saturday and had a blast. Everyone had great fun shopping and had a fab time doing the class. We will be back down with the South East Crafters on the 29th of August.

GOING LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ladies we have done it........ The Crafty Angels site will be live from Monday (22nd). Its been a long and exciting few weeks but we are getting closer to the end and we have decided that we are on track for opening the site from Monday.
We will continue taking deliveries over the next number of weeks so there will be products added each week for a while but we have over 1500 products up on the site at the moment.
As i have said in previous posts if there is anything you are having trouble locating please feel free to email us and we will do our best to get it in for you.
So remember Monday to check the site!!!!!!

Nearly There...............

Well Crafters, we are nearly ready to make the site live. We are soooooo excited at this stage and we are really looking forward to hearing what you think of our new store.
A few more days should sort a lot out and we are hoping to go live on the 22nd (Next Monday)
